Z500 Treadmill

Brand: TRUE Fitness · Model: Z500 · Category: Treadmill

The TRUE Z5.0 (listed here as the Z500) is TRUE Fitness’s classic home treadmill: a 3 HP continuous-duty DC motor, 0.8–19.3 km/h, 0–15% incline and a 137 × 51 cm orthopedic belt on a robotically welded steel frame that keeps the footprint to 172 × 71 cm. TRUE Soft System cushioning and HRC Cruise Control come as standard.

• 3 HP continuous-duty DC motor, 0.8–19.3 km/h

• 0–15% incline with quick keys

• Lubricant-infused orthopedic belt with TRUE Soft System

• HRC Cruise Control heart-rate training

• Compact 172 × 71 cm footprint

The TRUE Z5.0 is the compact classic in TRUE Fitness’s home treadmill range, built in the USA by a company that has made treadmills since 1981. A quiet 3 HP continuous-duty DC motor drives a 137 × 51 cm orthopedic belt from 0.8 to 19.3 km/h, incline runs from 0 to 15%, and the walk-through frame uses the whole running surface while keeping the machine to 172 × 71 cm.

Who is this treadmill for?

The Z5.0 suits homes and apartments in Bangalore where floor space is tight but the buyer wants club-grade build quality. It is a walking and jogging treadmill first: the 137 cm belt is comfortable for walkers and most joggers, while tall runners with a long stride may prefer the longer decks in TRUE’s Performance series.

Key workout benefits

HRC Cruise Control lets the user set a target heart rate; the treadmill then adjusts speed and incline automatically to hold it, which takes the guesswork out of fat-burn and endurance sessions. Quick-touch speed and incline keys change pace without scrolling, and the two-window LCD shows the essentials at a glance.

Heart rate is read through contact grips or a Polar-compatible wireless chest strap, and the GymTrakr app records each session for progress tracking.

Build quality and user experience

TRUE’s Soft System deck places neoprene shock absorbers at the front, where the foot lands, and keeps the rear firmer for a strong push-off. The lubricant-infused orthopedic belt reduces impact on knees and hips and needs no user lubrication.

The heavy-gauge steel frame is robotically welded for consistent strength, handrails are dipped for grip, and a safety clip stops the belt if the user steps off.

Space, installation and power

The Z5.0 measures 172 × 71 × 140 cm (L × W × H) and weighs 118 kg. TRUE recommends a clear zone of 0.5 m on each side and 2 m behind the treadmill, so plan for about 3.72 × 1.71 m of floor. In India the 220 V model is installed on a dedicated, earthed circuit that nothing else shares, which our team checks before delivery.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the handrails, grips and console after each session and vacuum under the treadmill weekly to keep dust away from the motor. The orthopedic belt is lubricant-infused, so do not apply oil or silicone. Check belt tracking monthly and book a service visit if the belt slips, drifts or the motor sounds unusual.
