The TRUE XFW-5700 is the seated calf in TRUE Fitness’s XFW free-weight line, with a pivoting seat design, a five-position adjustable thigh pad assembly and a non-skid footrest for a personalised, safe workout. Dual rubber-coated handles on the thigh-pad frame give an ergonomic hand position during the exercise and help the user get on and off.

Who is this machine for?

The XFW-5700 suits commercial gyms, strength and athletic facilities, hotel and corporate fitness centres and premium home gyms in India that want calves trained seated with plate resistance.

Muscles worked and key exercises

With the knees bent, the seated calf raise targets the soleus with the gastrocnemius assisting, building the lower leg and the ankle stability that running, jumping and balance depend on. Plates on the horn add resistance in small steps.

Build quality and adjustment

The seat pivots, the thigh pad adjusts through five positions, the handles are rubber coated, the footrest is custom moulded, curved and non-skid, and the frame carries floor-anchor provisions. The machine weighs 54 kg before plates.

Like every XFW piece, it combines modern styling, high-quality construction and TRUE’s time-tested designs for the free-weight floor: heavy-duty steel with floor-anchor provisions in the frame, replaceable wear guards where bars touch, and a matte-black powder coat with custom frame and upholstery colours. TRUE backs the frame for 10 years.

Space and installation

The XFW5700 measures 152 × 63 × 111 cm (60" × 25" × 44") (L × W × H). The XFW-5700 measures 152 × 63 × 111 cm (L × W × H). Allow about 0.6 m clear at the plate horn for loading and 0.6 m on the entry side. No power is needed; anchoring is optional. Plates are chosen separately.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the upholstery and grips after each session and unload plates between users. Check the adjustment pins, bar catches, wear guards and frame bolts monthly, and inspect floor anchors quarterly.

Why train the calves seated?

With the knees bent the seated raise loads the soleus, which standing raises largely miss; most lifters use both for complete calf development.
