Surge Spin Bike

Brand: TRUE Fitness · Model: SURGE-HOME · Category: Bike

The TRUE Surge is a magnetic-resistance spin bike with a rear-mounted aluminium flywheel, 20 lever-controlled resistance levels and a self-generating 7-inch backlit console, so there are no brake pads to wear, no batteries to change and no socket to find. Four-way seat and handlebar adjustment, SPD-compatible dual-sided pedals and a 159 kg user limit suit riders from 155 to 196 cm tall.

• 20 levels of frictionless magnetic resistance

• Rear aluminium flywheel protected from sweat

• Self-powered 7-inch backlit LCD with calorie meter

• Four-way seat and handlebar adjustment, SPD pedals

• 159 kg maximum user weight

The TRUE Surge is TRUE Fitness’s magnetic indoor cycle, designed to remove the maintenance that friction-brake spin bikes need. A rear-mounted aluminium flywheel sits away from the rider’s sweat, a Poly-V belt needs no oiling or replacement, and a built-in generator powers the console. Twenty resistance levels are set with a lever beside the handlebars, so changes mid-ride take a flick rather than a twist.

Who is this bike for?

The Surge suits home riders who follow streamed or app-based cycling classes, apartment and hotel fitness rooms, small studios and anyone who wants a quiet bike that does not need brake-pad replacement. The dual-adjustable seat and handlebars fit riders from about 155 to 196 cm, and the heavy-duty steel frame carries users up to 159 kg.

Key workout benefits

Magnetic resistance is silent and consistent, so level 12 feels the same every day, which makes structured training easy to repeat. The 7-inch backlit console shows real-time metrics with a dynamic calorie meter, and preset workouts include Quick Start, Max 14 Interval, Interval, Calorie Goal, Distance Goal and MAX CIRCUIT.

Heart rate pairs over ANT+ or Polar wireless and Bluetooth, and a 16.4 cm Q-factor keeps the pedal stance close to a road bike for natural knee alignment.

Build quality and user experience

Dual-sided pedals take SPD cleats on one face and toe cages on the other, the seat and handlebars adjust horizontally and vertically, and built-in stretch plates at the base give a safe platform for pre- and post-ride calf stretches. Tilt-and-push wheels move the 51 kg bike between rooms or studio layouts.

Space and installation

The Surge measures 149 × 60 × 112 cm (L × W × H). Leave about 0.6 m clear on each side for mounting and dismounting. No power socket is needed; Luxe Fitness delivers and assembles the bike and sets the seat and bars before handover.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the frame, handlebars, seat and console after each ride; the rear flywheel position keeps sweat off the drive, but the frame still needs cleaning. Check pedal, seat and post fasteners monthly. The belt and magnetic brake need no lubrication or pad changes; book a service visit if the resistance lever or console stops responding.

Can I use cycling shoes on the TRUE Surge?

Yes. The dual-sided pedals accept SPD cleats on one face and have toe cages on the other for trainers.
