  • Converging and diverging arm paths

  • Separate weight horns per arm

  • Inclined spine-protecting backrest

  • Plate loaded, sealed bearings

  • 120 kg maximum user weight

The Steelflex PLIP is the incline chest press in Steelflex’s Plate Load full-commercial line, with an outstanding biomechanical design for chest, shoulder and arm development. Separate weight horns on each arm allow converging and diverging movements for different muscle stimuli, the inclined backrest assures stabilisation and protects the spine, and the curved, multiple-grip handles offer different training methods.

Who is this machine for?

The PLIP suits commercial gyms, strength and athletic facilities, hotel and corporate fitness centres and premium home gyms in India that want to load the upper chest heavily with plates. The 120 kg maximum user weight covers most members.

Muscles worked and key exercises

The incline press targets the upper (clavicular) pectoralis major with the anterior deltoids and triceps assisting. Converging the arms emphasises the inner chest; diverging them spreads the load across the outer chest and shoulders; one-arm pressing corrects imbalances.

Build quality and adjustment

Each arm pivots on commercial-rated sealed bearings with continuous welds and carries its own weight horn, the backrest is set at an incline, and the handles are curved dipped PVC with several grip positions.

Like every Plate Load machine, it carries a two-coat, electrostatically applied powder finish in black with a vermilion-red texture; 5 cm of rebonded foam under 10 mm of high-density foam with a CGPC PVC cold-latex leather cover, double stitched; dipped PVC handgrips; continuous welds at all pivot points; and commercial-rated sealed bearings at every pivot. Resistance comes from the Olympic plates the facility already owns, loaded on the machine’s horns.

Space and installation

The PLIP measures 154 × 150 × 127 cm (61" × 59" × 50") (L × W × H). The PLIP measures 154 × 150 × 127 cm (L × W × H). Allow about 0.8 m clear on each side for loading plates and 0.6 m on the user side. No power is needed. Luxe Fitness delivers, assembles and levels the machine; plates are chosen separately.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the upholstery and handgrips after each session and unload plates between users. Check the pivot bearings, plate horns and lock-outs monthly and tighten frame bolts quarterly. Book a service visit if any pivot develops play or noise.
