• 8 programmes including heart-rate control

• 180 kg maximum user weight

The Steelflex PESG is a commercial elliptical from Taiwanese manufacturer Steelflex, built around a 58 cm stride that mimics a full running step. A 400 W self-generator feeds an electronically controlled eddy-current brake with 30 resistance levels across a 10–400 watt range, and a seven-window LED console runs eight programmes.

Who is this elliptical for?

The PESG suits commercial gyms, hotel and apartment fitness rooms, corporate wellness centres and home gyms where taller users and runners want a stride long enough to feel natural. Its 180 kg maximum user weight covers a broad membership, and the versatile handles let users load the arms, chest and back or hold the fixed grips for a legs-only session.

Key workout benefits

Eight programmes cover Manual, Cardio, Interval, Fat Burn, Training, heart-rate control and two custom workouts. The console reports time, distance, calories, pulse, level, speed, watts and RPM, with heart rate read through contact grips or a compatible wireless chest strap.

Thirty resistance levels give fine control from easy recovery sessions to hard climbs, and the 58 cm stride delivers cross-training that works the whole body without joint impact.

Build quality and user experience

Eddy-current braking has no contact pads to wear, which keeps resistance smooth and quiet through years of daily use. An oversized front shroud guards the moving parts and gives the PESG its solid, finished look.

Transport wheels let one person tip and roll the machine into position.

Space and installation

The PESG measures 194 × 75 × 166 cm (L × W × H) and needs no mains connection. Check ceiling height before installation, because the pedals rise above the frame during use, so allow for the tallest user’s height plus the step-up. Leave about 0.6 m clear on each side for mounting and dismounting. Luxe Fitness delivers and assembles the machine and checks the stride before handover.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the handlebars, grips and console after each session, and keep the rails and pedal arms free of dust and sweat. Check pedal and handlebar fasteners monthly. If the stride develops play or noise, or the console stops reading, book a service visit rather than opening the housing.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Steelflex PESG need to be plugged in?

No. The PESG is self-generating: a 400 W generator driven by your movement powers the console and the eddy-current resistance, so it needs no mains socket.

What is the stride length of the Steelflex PESG?

The PESG has a 58 cm (23-inch) stride, one of the longest in its class, which suits taller users and anyone who wants an elliptical motion close to running.

What is the difference between the Steelflex PESG and PES10?

Both are self-powered commercial ellipticals with 30 resistance levels and a 180 kg user limit. The PESG has a longer 58 cm stride and a seven-window LED console, while the PES10 has a 53 cm stride, a dot-matrix console and a stride suspension system.
