The Steelflex MAM900 is the seated abdominal curl in Steelflex’s Mega Power full-commercial line. The movement arm’s start position adjusts to the user, high-density foam at the seat, elbow supports and foot rollers keeps the body stable through the crunch, and dipped arc-shaped handles make the motion natural whether the member is a novice or an advanced trainer.

Who is this machine for?

The MAM900 suits commercial gyms, hotel and corporate fitness centres and premium home gyms in India that want a progressive, loaded alternative to floor crunches. The supported position suits beginners and older members, and the 120 kg maximum user weight covers most users.

Muscles worked and key exercises

The abdominal curl targets the rectus abdominis, with the obliques and hip flexors assisting. Unlike floor crunches, the stack provides resistance that can be increased in small steps, so the abdominals can be trained for strength as well as endurance.

Build quality and adjustment

The start-position-adjustable movement arm sets the range for each user, the elbow supports and arc-shaped dipped handles give an intuitive place to push from, and the foot rollers anchor the lower body. The flat-belt drive keeps the resistance even through the curl and the return.

Like every Mega Power machine, it is built on 50 × 150 mm oval steel tubing with a two-coat, electrostatically applied powder finish; 5 cm of rebonded foam under 15 mm of high-resilience foam with a CGPC PVC cold-latex cover, double stitched; dipped PVC handgrips; a flat-belt drive with a tensile strength above 2,280 kg; a 4 mm acrylic shroud; and noise-absorbing cushions under the weight stack. An instructional placard is fitted to every machine.

Space and installation

The MAM900 measures 141 × 118 × 167 cm (55" × 46" × 66") (L × W × H). Leave about 0.6 m of clear space on the user side for entry and exit and 0.5 m around the weight stack for pin changes. No power is needed. Luxe Fitness delivers, assembles and levels the machine and fits the weight stack on site.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the upholstery, handgrips and shroud after each session. Check the belt, pulleys and pivot bearings monthly, keep the guide rods clean and lightly lubricated as the manual directs, and tighten pad and handle fasteners. Book a service visit if the movement becomes rough or the stack catches on the guide rods.

Frequently asked questions

Is an abdominal crunch machine better than floor crunches?

It lets members add resistance in small steps, keeps the neck and lower back supported, and makes progress measurable, which floor crunches do not.

What is the difference between the Steelflex MAM900 and MBK1600?

The MAM900 curls the torso forward to train the abdominals; the MBK1600 extends it backward to train the lower back. Gyms usually place the two side by side as a core pair.

What warranty does the Steelflex MAM900 have in India?

Luxe Fitness offers up to 5 years warranty on this machine, covering frame, major moving parts and upholstery on separate terms. Ask us for the warranty card for your exact model before purchase.
